I'd like to introduce myself and share a little more about my background by answering some questions I typically receive.

How did you become a reiki practitioner?

I began my reiki journey during high school in 1996, when I received my first and second degree reiki attunements from a close family friend, DeAnn. In those early years, I primarily practiced on family and close friends.

As the years passed, I have had an innate pull to focus more attention on reiki. And when a very dear friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, I started taking my reiki practice more seriously. This lead to me completing my Reiki Master training with Laurelle Gaia & Michael Baird in Sedona, AZ in February of 2017.

Over the past few years, I have been evolving my calling and passion into a business with the goal of inspiring others to shine and feel good.

Have you always worked as a reiki practitioner?

Nope. My professional career has actually been in marketing and events. I have over 20 years experience creating marketing plans, executing campaigns, producing huge events (and small ones too), leading teams and building client relationships.

Energy work has afforded me a greater sense of fulfillment and a personal tool to help me live a grounded life, focused on the present.

What do you do for fun?

Get outside! I am happiest when I'm connected to Mother Nature. I have been a competitive athlete a majority of my life, with my most recent sport of choice being Hawaiian-style outrigger canoeing. I've paddle for the Marina del Rey Outrigger Canoe Club since 2013 and raced stand-up paddle boards for a few years before that.

When I'm not on the water, I'm out camping, four-wheeling, hiking or adventuring and learning something new. Some of my adventures can be seen on my personal IG: @thetomboyinheels
